Work with me: Helen Neale – AuDHD Therapist, Advocate, and Educator
“Helen’s lived experience and professional expertise make her an invaluable resource for anyone looking to better understand and support neurodivergent individuals. Her passion and dedication shine through in everything she does.”
Welcome! I’m Helen Neale, an AuDHD therapist with a Postgraduate Diploma in Autism & Neurodivergence, a wealth of professional expertise, and a lifetime of lived experience navigating the systems that neurodivergent individuals encounter daily.
My mission is simple: to help children, adults, families, and professionals better understand the neurodivergent experience and adapt therapy, education, and health systems to meet sensory and individual needs.

Why Work With Me?
As someone who is both autistic and ADHD (AuDHD), I bring a unique perspective to my work. I’ve lived the challenges, celebrated the triumphs, and walked the path that many of my clients and their families are navigating. This lived experience, combined with my professional training, allows me to connect deeply with those I work with and offer practical, empathetic, and effective support.
I’ve had the privilege of speaking for organisations like Mayden and Autistica, sharing insights into the neurodivergent experience and advocating for meaningful change in mental health, education, and healthcare systems. My work is rooted in a passion for creating environments where neurodivergent individuals can be supported effectively, whether that’s through one-on-one therapy, group workshops, or professional training sessions.
What I Offer
I work with both children and adults, tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each individual.
My services include:
- Therapy and Support for Neurodivergent Individuals and Families
I provide therapy that is specifically adapted to the sensory and emotional needs of neurodivergent individuals. Whether it’s helping a child navigate the school system or supporting an adult through workplace challenges, my goal is to help you to understand and accept your identity and work with it. - Workshops and Training for Professionals
I offer training sessions for educators, healthcare providers, and therapists to help them better understand and support neurodivergent individuals. From sensory needs to communication styles, I provide actionable strategies to create more inclusive environments. - Speaking Engagements
I’m available for talks and presentations on a range of topics, including lived experience, particularly around navigating mental health services arouhnd supporting neurodivergent clients, adapting therapy for neurodivergent clients, understanding sensory needs, and navigating systems as a neurodivergent individual. My talks are engaging, informative, and grounded in both lived and professional experience. In addition, I am able to chair events too, as I did with this one for Autistica recently:
- Mental Health Tools and Resources
Through my other site, KiddyCharts.com, there are also a range of mental health tools and resources designed to support children, teachers, homeschoolers and families. From printable charts to mindfulness activities, these resources are practical, accessible, and created with neurodivergent needs in mind where suitable. For example, check out these free anxiety flash cards on KiddyCharts.
